This course is an overview of radiation fundamentals, including radiation theory, sources of radiation, dose limits and models, ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable), emergency response, workers’ rights, types of NORM and TENORM, location of NORM and TENORM in the process. Workers’ Rights. An Overview of DOT requirements. On-Site Training includes a practical exercise in survey techniques and will be conducted using the students’ gauges and equipment.
